Aren't many chain restaurants actually locally owned franchises?

I will try to come back to this before I eat that way again. I think I have seen those when heading back from the bank.

a few are.. mainly those that DO franchise... lots of fast foods are like that. Most of your bigger chain restaurants aren't franchised.

I like Joe's on Matlock in Arlington for Italian food.

Joes on Matlock? Never seen it. But that doesn't mean a thing.

Texie wrote: Ric, if you and Rita want to try a cool place with some TCU atmosphere, come on over to Fuzzy's Taco Shop on West Berry and University. It's a typical student hang out, however the Mexican food is pretty good. There is one small caveat...the parking sucks. You'll have to do the going early (before 6:00 PM) just to find a place. You can park behind the 7-11. There's an small lot there.

Edit to add:  We don't do chains.  There are way too many locally owned places that need our support.

I've seen the advertisement for Fuzzy Taco's but the name just isn't too appealing.

Might try it since you recommended it.

Directly across the street from Fry's (behind the 7-11).

EXCELLENT!!!

Anyone else ever eat at Catfish O'Harleys in Decatur? My favorite place to go on the way back from Wichita Falls.

Where's Catfish Sam's? Catfish King in Oak Cliff, Waxahacie and Sherman are all pretty good.

It's right south of I30 off Randol Mill, I think. It's either West Arlington or Fort Worth...not quite sure.

That's cool. Might try it out. Going over to see a buddy off of Eastchase and 30 next weekend anyway. I could tell a bunch of stories about this guy but I talk too much anyway.

Catfish Sam's is more of a Restaurant than Catfish King. The waitresses are very nice and bring out some good sides with your catfish dinner.
