Just thought I'd start this for questions I'll have from time to time.
So if my almost 2 year old starts taking off her diapers, does it mean it's potty training time?

My two were 8 days from being 2 years apart.. My eldest was potty trained before her sister was born.. Never really had any accidents and wanted pretty panties not the big training ones.... She was just ready..

Or it could mean she just figured out how to take off her diaper.
I potty trained 13 kids. I used the M&M method on most of them. I didn't give them M&Ms for any other reason, except one for everytime they performed in the potty. I had a pretty jar of them in the bathroom, out of their reach. It worked well when I had to potty train more than one at a time, because they were jealous.
My daughter also wanted to wear pretty panties and she was "leak-proof" by age 2. Most of the others were lp by 2 1/2 or so. My son not until he was nearly 3 - he had to learn to tinkle standing up before he would go consistantly.
I could get most of them to "go" on command before we left the house. One of them INSISTED on visiting every dang public restroom in every building we went into.
It really just takes pre-planning and patience.
They came out with Pull Ups or whatever they are called now just about the time I quit keeping kids so I never really used them. I kinda think the moisture running down the leg was a good way for them to learn to tell me in advance. They didn't like that any more than I did.
Good Luck.

Lisa, it would behoove you to learn a few things about potty training and when it's time and google can be your best friend. Check this article out as well as the free advice that comes with Pull-Ups and other diapers. You want her to be healthy and happy and well adjusted.
I'm not a parent but I think I would be checking out resources because even though "the toddler" can't communicate with words, she's actually telling you with pulling off her diaper that it's time for some changes.

I babysat also to stay home a little while..One was the preacher's kid who was a month older than my eldest.. I had to use the M&M's on him..
Boys (ok some boys) are a little slower.. I'm sure not all of them are. My child insisted she get one too when he went potty ahahahahahahah cause she was already potty trained.
edit to say: Behooves.. bhwhahahahaha thats a funny word! ahahahaaha

Used to be able to put pants/shorts on her and not worry about her getting her diaper off...not anymore. She's now managing to change clothes by herself..interesting wardrobe choices. And, another diaper came off...quite a smelly experience this time. Last edited on Sat Jun 27th, 2009 08:10 pm by churchlady

It's not a real 'regimen'...... I just basically take him in there with me.... and show him how the plumbing works....
