BAGHDAD - Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari said Thursday that U.S. and Iraqi officials agree that timetables should be set for a U.S. troop withdrawal, but conceded that nailing down a broader pact on future relations is difficult.

Appearing together at a news conference, Rice and Zebari also mutually asserted that a final agreement between Washington and Baghdad on a a broad document spelling out the nature of any future U.S. troop presence and Washington-Baghdad relations is close to fruition, but not yet complete.

this is not a timetable for complete withdrawal like Pelosi and Obama want.  This is a timetable for reductions.... we will ALWAYS have a military presence there.

We didn't have one there before because they had a hostile government.

We may not NEED one when this is all over..but having one will be a great advantage.

How about the fact that the media isn't covering Iraq anymore?

I think that's a pretty good indication...

It is.

So is the fact that they and many Democrats have now put their hopes in our defeat in Afghanistan.

What I saw was that he was too stupid to know how many houses he has.

Having one will be expensive, unnecessary, a target for terrorists and a thorn in the side of moderate Muslims in the area. We need to get out!

The same way you define victory in the city of Dallas in its efforts to control crime.

Exactly, so does that mean we should not fight crime?

When people want to be terrorist, your never going to completly stop them.  Unless you bring out the H-Bombs.

Depends on how you define victory.  If you define victory in Dallas, as never having any more crime, it will never happen.

We instead define victory by the direction the crime rate is going.  If it is going down, we say, we be doin' good.

As long as people want to be criminals, there will be a crime rate.

We are no where near convencing all the towel heads that Jews have a right to exist, or that Allah does not want them to turn the rest of the world into their slaves, and we never will be.

Ack im a jerk still opens his speaches with a prayer for world wide destruction.

It doesn't ever happen.  It is the wrong word to use in this battle because it implies something akin to what we achieved in past wars, where the enemy sat down at the table and said, ok we give up, ain't gonna be no more fighting.

That is not going to happen this time around.

Way to many Arabs have been taught from the cradle that it is their destiny to rule the world for Allah.  That Jews were created by Lucifer, and Allah will not be happy untill they are all dead.

This is a struggle that will last another few hundred years.  All you can do is control it.  It is gong to be part of life for as far as the eye can see.

There is one way to stop it, and that would be for virtually every man woman and child in every nation that exists to stand firm against it, instead of fighting among themselves.  That ain't gonna happen either, there is to much dysfunction in the world.

It would be my guess, that God is the only one who is going to stop it, because man is to stupid to.  It provides us with entertainment.  People are not happy unless there is someone around to beat over the head.  It make them feel powerful.

Everyone needs an enemy these days, and for some the enemy is the bitter middle class who cling to their guns and Bible, and go to work every day.  With out an enemy it hard to be a victim. If your a victim you need an enemy to bash over the head, so you can be powerful.  For some like Ayers, that transulates into "kill your parents".   We make people like that University Professors so they can fill our kids heads with same.

It not just Arabs that teach destruction.

It is not just the terrorist that have their head screwed on backwards, it's 1/2 the people in the world, which is why were not going to stand together and put a stop to terrorism.  There will be no victory.

We have not even correctly identified the enemy.
