Al Hirt
Herb and the Brass
Fats Domino
Roger Miller
Johnny Mathis
Frank Sinatra <mom>
Dean Martin <dad>
Don Ho.. yeah, Tiny Bubbles!
How it affected me? I really don't know. These were from early years and my parent's musical tastes changed often and were varied as the years went on - they generally kept up with what I was listening to. My mom, however, LOVED Kenny Rogers and his style <which I didn't,> whereas my dad's tastes ran more Motown as the years went on.
Those are from my earliest memories. And my grandmother usually had something classical going on, but I can't recall the composers.

Al Hirt, Herb Alpert and the TJB, Mitch Miller, Ferrante and Teicher
My mom belonged to the Columbia Record Club, and she got a new album in the mail every month. It was so exciting to see what she got.....much more exciting than the Reader's Digest Condensed Book. LOL!

Big Band (Glen Miller, Glenn Gray, etc), Hank Williams, Bob Wills, John McCormack and Dennis Day (Irish tenors).
My parents were weird, but for some reason I like the music too.

They absolutely influenced me. My parents had Fats Domino, Bo Diddly, assorted big band, Jimmy Reed, Lena Horne, etc.
Once, when I was about 5 or 6, I had been left with a babysitter while my parents went to a dance. Probably at the Boat Club at Eagle Mountain Lake.
I woke up to some stuff going on around 2 or 3 in the morning. I walked in the den and there were about 25 people dancing and an all black (this was about 1961-62) blues band set up in the corner just wailing. It could've BEEN Jimmy Reed for all I know, he use to play in FW all the time. I didn't realize until much later just how hip my parents must have been.

Gosh, memory lane!
Herb Albert, Robert Goulet, Englebert Humperdink (we went to see him in concert! Nothing like seeing a concert with your Mom and your Granny!), Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra.
Even though my Mom was of the Elvis era, she didn't have any. No Beatles either. And I never bought any albums.
I remember a Goldfinger album - from the 007 movie. But that's about it. We aren't very musical.
But i remember watching - crap what was his name - the conductor, "a one and a two" with the Lennon Sisters on his show. Welk?

I can remember my grandmother nearly quivering when he would be on tv and sing.
So, evidently, Englebert shaped my idea about what is sexy.
Lord, help me.

I am feeling sooooo old, my parents loved Frank SInatra and Dean Martin. Mom listened to the radio as we didn't have a "stereo" until I was leaving High school Hi Fi was in and then stereo came out and the neighbor had the neatest record. It was a bowling ball going down the lane, a train going by, and all kinds of STEREO STUFF. WOW.
But Mom more than dad listened to music. SHe loved hearing the Andrew sisters, and we listened to Lawrence Welk every week. Then MItch Miller and his sing along. OH and on TV HIT PARADE, all those shows were a must.
Mom made dad go to every Movie musical that came out, Show Boat, Carousel, SInging in the Rain, etc. The movie musicals, I guess were the ones that had the most influence on me.
Yeah Movie Musicals. Those were the records mom bought and listened to later.
But while I was in High School Dick Clark hit the scene and Mom and I would dance every after noon. I was learning how to dance, in Jr High and she would help me practice. ( my mom was only 18 yrs older than I was, so she was more like my older sister) But we both loved Dick Clark and American Bandstand.

I listened to a lot of 78's. Mostly broadway soundtracks - Oklahoma, South Pacific, Annie Get Your Gun, Bloomer Girl (yes, really). Also some classical and some Spike Jones. Once LP albums took over, I listened to a lot of contemporary instrumentals (aka elevator music), particularly Mantovani. Sinatra, Tony Bennett.
Must have made an impression - I still love musical soundtracks.
